Who Are We?

connedata GmbH Software + System Consulting

connedata GmbH was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in the picturesque Leer, where others vacation, we work. For over 30 years, we have been developing software for medium-sized companies and public institutions. To meet the increasing demands of IT security, we rely on established software development standards. Trustful collaboration among all parties involved results in powerful and practical products. Agile methodologies and close dialogue with our customers are the foundation for the continuous evolution of our software.

How Did Mebis Come About?

Joint Project with Lebenshilfe Leer

As early as 2011, we developed Mebis in cooperation with Lebenshilfe Leer. The goal of Mebis was and still is to provide digital information as easily as possible to people with disabilities, seniors, and children. We were responsible for the technical implementation, while Lebenshilfe Leer handled the content.

Founding of Connedata

Connedata was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in the beautiful city of Leer.

Collaboration project

In September 2011, the Mebis collaboration project (then still titled cBIS) was launched together with Lebenshilfe Leer.

Practical test

After almost a year of development, the first terminal was set up in the Residence 4 of Lebenshilfe.

Workshop fair

In 2013, Mebis was presented for the first time at the workshop fair in Nuremberg.

Learning island

Mebis was expanded with functions to be used not only as an information system but also as a learning platform.

Redevelopment of Mebis began

In January 2022, the redevelopment of the Mebis system began with modern technologies.

Mebis-Online released

In January 2024, Mebis-Online was released. It is browser-based and thus platform and device-independent.

In September 2024, the kiosk system followed, which was conceptually revised.
